**yes I asked this question before, but no answers so im asking again (for a 30 gallon tank) well I bought the book "the new marine aquarium" a step by step setup and stocking guide. (this will be my first saltwater tank, but I have had freshwater tanks and they were/are successful) They have a "Starter guide" giving me options on fish... what do you think? 2 percula clownfish 1 orchid dottyback 1 canary wrasse (or 2?) 1 brittle star 2 feather duster worms am I over stocking? i have a ten gallon freshwater aquarium and i want to know how much i can stock it.i have an aqueon quiet flow 10 power filter for sizes 10-20 gallons.

I want one fish in my 10g tank. I want a predatory fish that will eat feeder guppies(will breed guppiees to prevent disease). I want one predatory fish that can live its whole life in a 10g. I was thinking malayan leaf fish or african butterfly fish. They both reach up to 4 inches. I was also thinking a peacock eel. I only want a fish that will eat feeder guppies. I reapeat that will be the only fish. Its a freshwater cycled tank no fish inside yet. Thank You, Fishlova. PS. please no mea answers

Ok now i know that these fish will get to big for this size aquarium however it is only until they need to be moved up. Can i put 2 rope fish 4 algea eating cats and 1 ghost knife fish.

I will be getting the top fin 10 gallon aquarium with aquarium hood and light from pet-smart tomorrow and have a few questions: 1) how is a ten gallon tank in general? 2) any problems you have with it? 3) what is a good in-tank filter for it? 4) stocking ideas? please feel free to answer any and all questions, i know there will be a few people who say a ten gallon fish tank is too small/is not worth your time/is cruel etc. but one must remember that most WILD freshwater fish often go through periods of drought or they just live in small habitats. (take betas for instance, they live in RICEPATTYS. about the size of a cookie) and are still here today. ;)

My betta fish died recently. :( I really want some more fish, but I want a real aquarium because they are so relaxing. My budget is rather tight at the moment. How much do 10 gallons cost to start up with freshwater fish? I would like to do some live plants, java moss and anubias nana. I also wanted to know if my stocking plan was ok? I plan to ( after i fishless cycle) have a male dwarf gourami, two mystery snails, and 5-6 shoaling fish. (I don't want danios or neons, what are some good small shoaling fish?) Is that over stocked? If it isn't could I get a pair of gouramis ( male and female)? Also, should I add the plants before OR after I cycle? If you have any other suggestions let me know. Thanks so much!!!!!

im cycling my new aquarium now and i've been thinking of getting 2 maroon clownfish, 2 blue and yellow dwarf angelfish and 3 yellow mollies. i know mollies are generally freshwater fish but they are okay in saltwater too, i just wanted to know if my tank would be overstocked with all these fish?? could i possibly add a small starfish in there too?
